Dewcape were engaged by Bingo Industries to Design and construct the world’s largest mixed waste recycling facility.

The site currently recovers around 85% of materials that are processed at its recycling facility. Dewcape works include for design and construct of a 9000m² structural steel warehouse, including services for a processing plant & 15,000m² of external concrete pavement. The plant has been fitted with the latest in safety, environment and fire management technology and rain water catchment tanks.

Dewcape managed all design disciplines and completed the construction in 29 weeks despite operating within an operational environment, concurrent installation of complex recycling plant and machinery, non-typical block, and 6 weeks of inclement weather.

Dewcape’s innovations in developing practical and value engineered solutions for their client allowed for on-time delivery and improved operations.

The works included the supply and installation of approximately 150 lineal metres of sheet piles to stabilise an existing retaining wall surrounding the dams. The dams were reconstructed to achieve the correct volumes for the site and lined with HDPE.
